Tobey Furniture of Chicago was one of the leading manufacturer’s of high end American furniture from the mid-19th to mid-20th century. They famously sold not only Gustav Stickley’s “New Furniture” but also mission or Arts and Crafts furniture manufactured by Leopold and John George Stickley. Examples of Tobey Furniture designs can be found in museums and galleries around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
