A rare and exceptional set of eight fine Chippendale carved mahogany dining chairs from the exclusive Stately Homes Collection by Baker Furniture.
The set includes two open armchairs and six side chairs. The chairs feature shaped back supports with pierced and interlaced vase-shaped splats and scrolled pagoda shaped cresting rails. They have bold cabriole legs carved on the knees with cabochons and foliage, terminating in ball and claw feet. Made from solid mahogany with the highest quality craftsmanship. The original metal Baker label is present on the underside of the chairs. The set is in very good original vintage condition.
The side chairs measure 24.25″W x 23.5″D x 38.5″H. The armchairs measure 29″W x 23.5″D x 38.5″H. Arm height is 27.5″. Seat height on all chairs is 19″.
