Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller Art Deco Dining Set, Fully Restored

A gorgeous and extremely rare Art Deco dining set designed in 1937 by Gilbert Rohde for his Formal Dining Group for Herman Miller. The set includes the extension dining table with two leaves, eight side chairs, and one captain armchair.

The table features stunning mahogany and maidou burl wood grain, which are uniquely arranged on the top in a checkerboard pattern. It has two curved mahogany pedestals–connected by a stretcher in the middle–and a boat-shaped top. Model 3725 from the Formal Dining Group. The table has been expertly restored and is in pristine condition.

The matching chairs offer beautiful newly refinished solid mahogany frames, with new foam and exquisite silver and black modern Herman Miller designer upholstery. This 10-piece set is an excellent addition to any Art Deco, modern, or mid-century modern dining environment.

The table measures 72″W x 40″D x 29.75″H. It extends to 120″W with two 24″ leaves.

The side chairs measure 21.5″W x 24.5″D x 30.5″H. The captain chair measures 22.5″W x 24.5″D x 30.5″H. Arm height is 25″. Seat height on all chairs is 20″.
