Gilbert Rohde for Brown Saltman Crescent Desk, 1930s


Offering a very rare and exceptional Art Deco crescent desk designed by Gilbert Rohde for Brown Saltman of California in the 1930s. The desk features a unique demilune shape and gorgeous mahogany wood grain. It offers good storage, with six unique pivoting drawers and a center drawer that is divided for organization. The desk is finished on all sides and has a fantastic inset bookcase on the backside. The original Brown Saltman stamp is present on the underside of the desk. The desk has been professionally restored and is in excellent condition.

The kneehole measures 16.5″W x 25.38″H.
